Job Description

A 3D Modeler in Structural Engineering creates detailed digital representations of buildings and structures using specialized software. They translate design concepts into 3D models, collaborate with engineers and architects, and ensure the models are accurate and meet FPSO project requirements. FPSO, (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading). Key Responsibilities: Creating and maintaining 3D models: Using BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to generate detailed 3D models of buildings, structures, and their components. Collaborating with engineers and architects: Working closely with other professionals to understand design requirements, incorporate feedback, and ensure model accuracy. Ensuring model quality: Verifying model accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications. Performing model reviews and coordination: Identifying potential issues or conflicts in the design and coordinating with other disciplines to resolve them. Generating design drawings and documentation: Producing structural design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings based on the 3D model. Skills and Qualifications: (Diploma - Civil, 5 to 10 Years) Strong understanding of structural engineering principles: Knowledge of building codes, design standards, and structural analysis. Proficiency in BIM software: Familiarity with industry-standard software like AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks. Excellent visualization and spatial reasoning skills: Ability to create and interpret 3D models accurately. Attention to detail and accuracy: Ability to identify and correct errors in the 3D model.
