Role & responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with expertise in US accounting standards, GAAP compliance, tax regulations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in handling US-based accounts, tax filings, and financial audits while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. 1. Financial ReportingPrepare and maintain financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments. Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights for decision-making. 2. Taxation & ComplianceEnsure compliance with tax regulations. Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, payroll taxes, and sales tax reports. Stay updated with changes in tax laws and ensure regulatory compliance. Work with external auditors and tax consultants for compliance-related matters. 3. Accounts Payable & Receivable ManagementOversee vendor payments, invoicing, and accounts receivable collections. Ensure timely reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts. Implement internal controls to prevent discrepancies and fraud. 4. Audit & Internal ControlsSupport internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Implement and maintain internal controls to improve efficiency and compliance. Conduct periodic financial risk assessments and recommend corrective measures. 5. Financial Analysis & AdvisoryAnalyze financial data to identify trends, cost savings, and revenue opportunities. Provide recommendations on investment strategies, risk management, and financial planning. Support management in making data-driven financial decisions. 6. Software & TechnologyWork with QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or other US accounting software. Utilize Microsoft Excel (advanced level) for financial modeling and analysis. Adapt to new ERP systems and accounting tools for process automation.Desired Profile: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (US CPA preferred). Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in US accounting, financial reporting, and taxation. Prior experience in a US-based company or an accounting firm handling US clients is preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial planning skills. Strong communication skills to liaise with US clients, auditors, and tax authorities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
