Job Overview:A Fire and Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property in case of fire and other emergencies. The job description of a Fire and Safety Officer includes the following duties:ResponsibilitiesConducting fire safety inspections and identifying potential fire hazards in the workplace.Developing and implementing fire safety plans, policies, and procedures.Conducting periodic fire drills and training employees on fire and safety procedures.Maintaining and inspecting fire extinguishers, alarms, and other firefighting equipment as per the SOPs.Investigating fires and accidents to determine the root cause and implementing measures to prevent future incidents.Conducting risk assessments and recommending measures to minimize risks.Keeping up-to-date with fire safety regulations and codes.Collaborating with other departments to ensure compliance with fire safety standards.Providing advice and guidance on fire and safety to management and staff.Liaising with external agencies such as fire departments, insurance companies, and local authorities.Upkeep and maintenance of statutory and regulatory compliance regarding fire and safety.Conducting safety surveys and issuing work permits to prevent any incidents.Sending daily site reports and MIS to the Head Office.Providing support to the Head office team during the site audit and taking necessary corrective actions to close the audit observations.Providing excellent client service to ensure client satisfaction.Supervises Security Staff, assigns/monitors work assignments and provides training in life safety, first aid.Conduct hourly rounds to ensure that visitors have safe and pleasant experience and report problems to Chief security officer/Security Head.Interviews and approves hiring of contract security staff personnelManages security scheduling and approval of contract invoices.Interviews and approves hiring of contract security staff personnelHandle emergencies efficiently (i.e., fire, evacuations human crisis, etc.)Conducts night inspection checks.Conduct Mock Drills.control of security team.Manage all security related actives. Required Skillset:Adequate Technical Knowledge of Fire equipment's.Problem Solving SkillsShould be physically FitComputer skills proficientDiploma in Fire Fighting from a good Institute.
