As an Accessibility Designer at Darwinbox, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our HR technology platform is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. You will collaborate closely with our product design, engineering, and quality assurance teams to embed accessibility best practices into every aspect of our product development lifecycle. Responsibilities: Conduct accessibility assessments and audits of the Darwinbox platform to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1. Work closely with product designers to integrate accessible design principles into wireframes, prototypes, and final product designs. Collaborate with front-end and back-end engineers to implement accessibility features and enhancements, guiding accessible coding techniques and practices. Develop accessibility documentation, guidelines, and training materials for internal teams to raise awareness and build accessibility expertise. Conduct usability testing with users with disabilities to gather feedback and validate the effectiveness of accessibility solutions. Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to accessibility, and advocate for accessibility within the organization. Champion accessibility initiatives by participating in industry forums, conferences, and community outreach activities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree/ Masters in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. Proven experience as an Accessibility Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing accessible digital products or platforms. In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines, including WCAG 2.1, Indian Digital Accessibility Laws, ADA, and Section 508. Proficiency in using accessibility evaluation tools such as Axe, Wave, and screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver). Experience conducting usability testing with users with disabilities and incorporating feedback into design iterations. Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Passion for creating inclusive and accessible digital experiences that empower users of all abilities. Prior experience in the HR technology industry is a plus.
