Job Description

We are seeking an experienced person with 4-5 years of expertise in Indian accounting, taxation, and payroll management. The ideal candidate will independently oversee all aspects of our India accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, Goods and Services Tax (GST), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and Income Tax. Proficiency in GST reconciliation and advanced Excel functions is essential. The candidate should demonstrate proactive leadership and a commitment to excellence. Role & responsibilities Accounting Operations: Manage and oversee daily accounting functions, including AP, AR, general ledger, payroll, and utilities. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports. Maintain and enforce accounting policies and procedures in compliance with Indian regulations. Taxation: Oversee GST compliance, including preparation and filing of returns, and reconciliation of GST data with accounting records. Manage TDS calculations, deductions, and timely remittances. Ensure accurate computation and timely payment of Income Tax. Payroll Management: Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in salary calculations, statutory deductions, and compliance with labour laws. Address employee queries related to payroll and benefits. Act as a full back up of payroll processing and work closely with human resource team. Keep complete track of payroll data department wise, employee wise and play a pivotal role in managing the payroll software along with working and filing of payroll TDS return. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. Reconciliation and Compliance: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor accounts, and other financial records. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of audit queries. Coordinate with company secretary for providing data and filing of relevant ROC returns. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency enhancements. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) are advantageous. Experience: 4-5 years of experience in accounting and taxation within India. Proven track record in managing end-to-end accounting functions and tax compliance. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central) and advanced Microsoft Excel functions. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
