Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Account Executive to join our team. As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position is ideal for individuals with 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, who are detail-oriented, analytical, and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Responsibilities:General Accounting: Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining general ledgers. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data by reconciling accounts and conducting regular audits.Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare reports for management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable functions. Process invoices, verify billing accuracy, and ensure timely payment to vendors. Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up with clients for payment, and resolve any billing discrepancies.Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process by collecting and analyzing financial data. Assist in the preparation of budget plans, monitor actual performance against budgeted targets, and provide variance analysis reports. Collaborate with department managers to ensure budget adherence and optimize resource allocation.Compliance and Taxation: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and tax laws. Assist in the preparation of tax returns, support tax audits, and maintain proper documentation for audit purposes. Stay updated on accounting and regulatory changes, and make recommendations for process improvements to enhance compliance.Financial Systems and Tools: Utilize accounting software and financial systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Contribute to system enhancements, perform data analysis, and troubleshoot any issues or discrepancies. Provide training and support to team members on system usage and best practices.Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to gather and analyze financial information. Collaborate on special projects, such as process improvements, system implementations, or financial analyses. Act as a resource and provide guidance to junior team members, as needed. Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards is required. Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and tax compliance is highly desirable.Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management and analysis. Ability to spot errors, identify discrepancies, and reconcile accounts effectively.Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and drawing meaningful insights. Ability to think critically, solve problems, and provide recommendations based on financial analysis.Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate financial information to stakeholders at various levels of the organization effectively. Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using accounting software and financial management tools. Experience with popular accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books) is a plus. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
