Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for an Accounts Assistant with a strong understanding of general accounting processes, GST, TDS, and other compliance-related payments and return filings. Preference will be given to candidates from an Export-Oriented Unit (EOU) manufacturing background who are well-versed in accounting practices related to exports and compliance regulations. Role & responsibilities: Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions and general ledger entries. Assist in accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments and customer invoicing. Prepare and review journal vouchers, bank reconciliations, and petty cash records. Support in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities. Ensure accurate GST calculations, filings, and timely payments. Prepare and file TDS returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Maintain statutory records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes. Handle customs duty, import/export documentation, and EOU-specific financial compliance. Reconcile bank statements and track financial transactions. Assist in the preparation of MIS reports, financial statements, and tax reports. Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for transactions, LC processing, and forex payments. Preferred candidate profile: Bachelors degree in Commerce (B Com) or Accounting / Finance related field. Professional certification (CA Inter, or Final) is a plus. Minimum 3 Years of experience in accounting, finance or related field in to manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (Tally / ERP / SAP preferred). Excellent command on English language, especially rules of syntax, punctuation, and grammar. Readiness for minimum 3 years of commitment. Proficiency in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and financial reporting. Ability to handle audits, tax assessments, and compliance documentation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
