This role requires deep expertise in Azure cloud services, networking, Kubernetes, and security, with a focus on high-scale, high-throughput architectures . Our platform is built on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Istio service mesh, and Rancher, supporting API-driven workloads backed by MongoDB, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. This architect will play a key role in optimizing performance, security, and cost efficiency (FinOps) while ensuring the reliability and scalability of our cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Architect and implement scalable cloud solutions using Azure PaaS and IaaS services. Design and optimize Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, Application Gateway, Traffic Manager, Azure Firewall (Egress), Load Balancers, and Web Application Firewall (WAF). Implement robust security architectures, including Azure AD, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Managed Identities, and Key Vault. Enhance system observability using Prometheus, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Optimize cloud cost efficiency (FinOps) by analyzing resource utilization and implementing cost-effective scaling strategies. Enable automated deployments by designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Modernize applications by recommending and executing migrations to Azure PaaS offerings, including AKS and App Services. Implement networking policies and security best practices using Cilium (for networking) and Istio (for service mesh) in Kubernetes. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, ARM templates, Azure CLI, and PowerShell. Must-Have Qualifications 7+ years of experience designing and operating Azure-based cloud solutions. Deep expertise in Azure Networking, including Application Gateway, Load Balancers, Azure Firewall (Egress), Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Traffic Manager. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS), Cilium (for networking), Istio (for service mesh), and Rancher. Lead debugging and troubleshooting efforts for application performance issues in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and other cloud services. Hands-on experience with MongoDB, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL Expertise in observability using Prometheus, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics. Proven experience in cloud cost optimization (FinOps) and designing cost-efficient architectures. Strong understanding of Azure security best practices, including RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, and network security controls. Hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes and PaaS workloads. Proficiency in Azure CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, and ARM templates.
