children'sRole & responsibilities Sales Leadership: Lead and drive sales strategies for the South regions to achieve revenue and growth targets.Regional Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across both regions.Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing regional team; set clear objectives, provide mentorship, and ensure successful execution.Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships, especially in the childrens books market.Market Expansion: Research and analyze market trends to expand the reach of childrens books, focusing on schools, bookstores, retailers, and online platforms.Budget Management: Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and forecasts for the South regions.Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales plans, marketing initiatives, and promotional campaigns.Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers in the childrens book sector.Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, editorial, and operations teams to ensure alignment of objectives and successful execution of regional strategies. Qualifications:Proven experience in the publishing industry, with a strong focus on children's books.At least 7-10 years of experience in a senior sales or management role within publishing or a related industry.Demonstrated experience in managing and driving sales teams across multiple regions (South).Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage large teams.Exceptional knowledge of the childrens books market and educational publishing.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue and market share growth.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Preferred:A background in children’s book sales or education-related publishing.Familiarity with regional market dynamics in South India.
