Job Title: Computer Vision & AI/ML Engineer Location: Katargam, Surat Job Type: Full-Time Experience: Minimum 2 Years Salary: Based on Interview Performance About the Role: We are building an innovative module for our application that uses AI and computer vision to help customers identify medicines by uploading images of prescriptions or medicine packaging. Based on the image input, the system should recognize the medicine name and either suggest the exact product from our inventory or recommend similar alternatives if an exact match is unavailable. We are looking for a passionate AI/ML Engineer with a focus on computer vision to lead the development of this module. You’ll work closely with our product and engineering teams to design, train, and deploy high-accuracy models that deliver fast, reliable results to users. Key Responsibilities: Build and deploy image recognition models to extract relevant data from prescription photos and medicine packaging images . Integrate OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and object detection techniques to identify medicine names, dosage, and other key information. Develop a recommendation engine to suggest the same or similar medicines based on recognized input. Collaborate with product and backend teams to integrate the AI module into the main app. Continuously evaluate model performance and retrain with new data to improve accuracy. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in computer vision, OCR, and AI-based healthcare solutions . Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in machine learning or computer vision projects. Strong knowledge of Python and experience with libraries such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras . Proven experience with OCR technologies (e.g., Tesseract, Google Vision, or AWS Textract). Familiarity with image classification , object detection , and image-to-text conversion . Solid understanding of deep learning architectures like CNNs. Experience working with medical datasets or pharmacy-related AI is a big plus. Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions and model pipelines.
