Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience and strong backend expertise to join our growing team. This is a contractual role for 1 year, where the selected candidate will work full-time (8 hours per day, Monday to Friday). In this role, you will work on building and maintaining the core infrastructure of our Fleet Management App, focusing on API design, security, and performance optimizations. Additionally, you'll contribute to front-end development using React and JavaScript as needed. Requirements: 5+ years of experience developing production applications in Ruby on Rails. Strong understanding of backend architecture and design patterns. Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs. Deep knowledge of database design (PostgreSQL or MySQL preferred) and query optimization. • Expertise in Rails concepts, including ActiveRecord, background jobs, and services. Familiarity with security best practices, including data protection and authentication/authorization (e.g., Devise, JWT). Experience with performance tuning and scalability in a Rails environment. Proficiency with testing frameworks (e.g., RSpec, Minitest). Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Heroku for deployment. Experience with version control using Git. Frontend development experience with React and JavaScript (ability to contribute to both the backend and frontend). Bonus Skills: Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration. Experience with Docker and containerization technologies. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment. Experience working with microservices and distributed systems.
