We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Floor Manager to oversee daily operations on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing employees, ensuring smooth workflow, assigning tasks efficiently, and maintaining a high standard of production quality and safety. Additionally, the Floor Manager will handle customer complaints, provide solutions, contribute ideas to the engineering department, manage documentation related to drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and estimates, handle vendor management, and provide quotations based on vendor considerations.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the shop floor operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop floor employees.Assign work responsibilities and ensure tasks are completed on time.Monitor production processes and workflow to optimize output and reduce downtime.Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and quality guidelines.Train, mentor, and motivate employees to enhance productivity and workplace morale.Coordinate with different departments, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations.Identify and resolve operational issues, implementing process improvements where necessary.Handle customer complaints, investigate issues, and provide effective solutions.Contribute ideas and suggestions to the engineering department for process improvements and innovation.Maintain and manage documentation related to drawings, BOM, and estimates, and update BOM as necessary.Handle vendor management, negotiate with vendors, and provide quotations after evaluating vendor options.Ensure accurate record-keeping of employee performance, attendance, and work assignments.Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.Strong understanding of Materials and standards used in the Design and manufacturing.Proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD software for Designing and Developing 3D models and 2D drawing for Project like SPM & custom Machines.Attend client meetings and participate in discussions with management regarding production, planning, and improvements.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelors degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field preferred.Proven experience in floor management, production supervision, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.Strong leadership and people management skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow, and best practices.Experience in handling customer complaints and providing solutions.Knowledge of engineering documentation, including drawings, BOM, and estimates.Proficiency in vendor management and quotation preparation.Knowledge of machining processes, material requirements, and material properties.Experience with SolidWorks and other CAD software.Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP systems is a plus.Strong communication and organizational skills.Knowledge of SOI (Statement of Intent) is required.Work Environment:The role requires working on the shop floor in a manufacturing setting.May involve standing for extended periods and handling operational challenges.Adherence to safety regulations, including the use of protective equipment, is mandatory.If you are a dynamic leader with a passion for manufacturing and team management, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Role & responsibilities
