Job Description

1. Financial Management: Assist in the preparation and analysis of profit and loss (P&L) statements for the assigned profit centre. Monitor and control expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary expectations. Support the development of financial forecasts and identify areas of cost optimization and revenue enhancement. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and timely financial reconciliation. 2. Sales & Market Performance: Track sales performance and ensure targets are met or exceeded. Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities. Work with the sales team to implement strategies to increase market share, customer base, and product penetration. Lead initiatives to optimize product pricing, promotional activities, and distribution channels. 3. Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned profit centre, ensuring that processes are efficient and aligned with company objectives. Work closely with supply chain, production, and distribution teams to ensure optimal product availability and stock levels. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. 4. Strategic Planning & Execution: Contribute to the formulation of long-term and short-term strategies to drive the growth of the profit centre. Ensure that strategic plans are executed efficiently, with regular performance tracking and reporting. Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, R&D, and supply chain) to implement new product launches and market entry strategies. 5. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and manage the team within the profit centre, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members. Ensure effective communication and alignment of goals across various functional teams. 6. Customer & Stakeholder Management: Develop strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and distributors to ensure satisfaction and drive business growth. Represent the profit centre in high-level meetings with senior management and external partners. 7. Reporting & Performance Tracking: Provide regular updates to the senior management on performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities. Maintain comprehensive reports on financial and operational performance, highlighting key trends and action points. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Business/ Finance/Marketing or a related field. MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification is preferred.
