About the Role: The Area Sales Manager/Field Sales will be responsible for generating and developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and ensuring customer satisfaction. He will focus on achieving sales targets, promoting the company products, and expanding the client base, specifically for the manufacturing sector. Report To: GM Sales / MD Responsibilities: Identify and approach potential clients in the market. Generate leads from new customer through cold calls, networking, and referrals. Understand the market area wise customer mapping and competitor activities. Educate clients about the company products and how they can benefit their operations. Understand customer requirements and offer solutions tailored to their needs. Maintain strong relationships with key clients and decision-makers. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing queries, issues, and complaints promptly. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreement to close sales. Experience in handling dealers, distributors in B2B sales Be a good judge of character / evaluate the depth of customers seriousness of business with us Develop and implement sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets. Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and activity logs. Be able to understand the technical aspects of the product in order to present it to the clients and give demo of products Stay updated on product specifications, benefits, and applications. Should be able to impart training of our products to team / distributors as an when it is needed Keep accurate records of client interactions by update the CRM software Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, and finance) to ensure timely order fulfilment. Attend sales and management team meetings Attend Training sessions provided by the organisation. Be able to join and participate and present the company and products at Industry trade events as required. They will be accountable for: Business Development Sales Strategy & Execution Client Relationship Management Product Knowledge Reporting & Documentation Visiting clients Requirement: Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Science or a related field. 6+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. Experience in handling dealers, distributors in B2B sales of products manufactured in India, preferably laboratory products / chemicals etc. You should be accessible on reporting to Mumbai office daily (Mira Road) Skills: Strong negotiation skills Strong communication, and presentation skills. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Self-motivated Should be Multi-tasking, able to manage projects simultaneously and effectively. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships. Good in price calculations (commercial) Preferred techno commercial Should consider as ownership of the process NOTE: Candidate staying in western line suburbs are preferred !
