Job Description

Job Purpose/Summary The Area Sales Officer (ASO) is responsible for driving sales and expanding the territory by managing and growing sales in assigned regions . Education & Qualifications Degree: Graduation Major: Any Specialization Branch: Sales & Marketing Management Key Responsibilities Sales Achievement: Drive and achieve primary and secondary sales as per the assigned Annual Business Plan (ABP) in the designated territory. Distributor Management: Appoint new distributors and manage existing distributor relationships. Product Placement: Increase product placement and visibility in stores to boost primary and secondary sales. BTL Activation: Ensure Below-the-Line (BTL) activations in the targeted number of stores. Customer Retention: Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure customer retention. Billing Cycle Adherence: Ensure adherence to monthly billing cycles and the number of outlets. Sales Scheme Execution: Ensure smooth execution of secondary sales schemes in the market. Market Penetration: Enhance market penetration by managing secondary sales and implementing strategies to reach more outlets. Sales Automation: Manage and maintain secondary sales data and uploads in SFDC (Salesforce Data Cloud). Principal Accountabilities Stock Management: Oversee distributor/retailer stock management. Sales Reporting: Report progress and challenges to senior executives regularly. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Sales Achievement: Meet sales targets as per the business plan (MBO). Payment & Collection: Responsible for payment collections and timely submission of secondary sales reports. Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular competitor analysis and provide feedback. Knowledge/Experience 2-6 years of experience in sales, with a minimum of 2 years in channel sales and distributor/dealer management. Experience in the home furnishing industry, FMCG, or fashion garments is preferred. Skills Customer Relationship Management Communication Networking Persuasion Skills Key Competencies Relationship Management: Ability to manage and nurture long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and internal teams. Sales Orientation: Strong focus on driving sales, achieving targets, and managing performance. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with customers and internal teams.
