Job Description

RISHS is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire and educate students in the field of visual arts. The Art Teacher will be responsible for developing students' artistic talents, encouraging self-expression, and nurturing a love for art in its various forms. Direct Walk-in: 14th May to 20th May 2025 Contact: 7094455752 / 7094455723 Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement art and craft lessons in accordance with CBSE guidelines. Teach various mediums (drawing, painting, clay modeling, paper craft, etc.) and techniques suitable for different class levels. Integrate art education with other subjects to enhance creativity and concept understanding. Foster artistic skills such as sketching, coloring, painting, origami, model making, and design. Encourage self-expression, creativity, and innovation among students. Identify and nurture artistic talent through individual attention. Guide students in creating art projects for school displays, exhibitions, and competitions. Organize art & craft exhibitions, inter-house contests, and themed decoration for school events. Supervise decoration work for functions like Annual Day, Independence Day, etc. Evaluate students' artwork based on creativity, effort, and progress. Maintain student portfolios and records of performance as per CBSE's Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) norms. Provide feedback to students and parents on skill development and improvement areas. Create a positive, engaging, and safe environment for creative work. Ensure the classroom and art materials are well-organized, clean, and safely handled. Maintain discipline and support student behavior aligned with school policies. Manage and maintain inventory of art supplies and tools. Prepare a budget for annual requirements and coordinate with administration for procurement. Encourage use of eco-friendly and recycled materials for craft activities. Promote equal participation of all students, especially encouraging girl students to explore design, craft, and creative fields. Address self-expression, emotions, and social issues through thematic art projects when appropriate. Participate in school-wide cultural events, displays, and interdisciplinary teaching. Attend teacher training, CBSE workshops, and professional development programs. Collaborate with other teachers for integrated projects and school beautification activities. Act as a mentor or club in-charge for school art clubs or creative groups.
