The Production Planning and Control (PPC) Executive will oversee and optimize the planning, scheduling, and control of production activities within a home textile factory. This role requires close coordination with multiple departments, including procurement, design, quality control, and logistics, to ensure the timely completion of production orders, maintain high-quality standards, and maximize resource utilization. The PPC Executive will be instrumental in driving production efficiency, minimizing delays, and supporting the overall operational goals of the factory.Key Responsibilities1. Production PlanningDevelop, implement, and maintain monthly, weekly, and daily production schedules based on customer orders, lead times, and factory capacity. Analyze order forecasts, production capabilities, and raw material availability to create achievable and efficient production plans. Communicate production plans clearly and promptly to relevant teams, ensuring alignment and understanding across departments. 2. Material and Resource PlanningCollaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, fabrics, trims, and other essential components. Optimize resource allocation to minimize waste and maximize cost-effectiveness, ensuring that production targets are met without unnecessary delays or excess inventory. 3. Scheduling and Workflow ManagementAllocate production tasks across multiple lines or shifts to ensure balanced workload distribution and high productivity. Continuously monitor production progress to identify and resolve bottlenecks or delays, ensuring on-time order completion. Implement and enforce task prioritization strategies to meet deadlines and customer requirements. 4. Control and MonitoringTrack production performance metrics, including output volume, downtime, cycle times, and efficiency, to assess progress and identify improvement areas. Implement quality control checkpoints at various stages of production to ensure that final products meet established quality standards. Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review, detailing progress, challenges, and improvements. 5. Team CollaborationCollaborate with design, sales, and marketing teams to ensure production schedules align with market demand and new product launches. Coordinate with the quality control department to address any product defects or quality issues swiftly, maintaining high product standards. Foster strong communication channels between production, procurement, logistics, and other internal teams to ensure smooth workflows. 6. Process OptimizationProactively identify areas within the production process that could benefit from increased efficiency, cost reductions, or process improvements. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other best practices to streamline production cycles, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity. Suggest and support continuous improvement initiatives to foster a culture of operational excellence across the production floor. Skills & QualificationsEducational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Textile Technology, or a related field.
