The role We arelooking for a seasoned and forward-thinking Assistant Director Finance toscale our finance function within a dynamic, multi-country ecommerce/travelbusiness. This role encompasses ownership of business and operationalperformance, working closely with the Head of Finance and Co-Founders to drivefinancial planning, cost control, and long-term growth. You will oversee agrowing internal team and manage external accounting, tax, and compliancepartners across key international markets, including the US, UK, UAE, andIndia. A strong focus on automation and AI adoption is central to the role,with the expectation to integrate technology into daily finance operations toboost accuracy and efficiency. Theideal candidate should ideally possess experience in managing multi-countryoperations, preferably from an Accounting or Consulting background. Key responsibilities Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and deliveryof accurate and timely financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets,and cash flows, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Budgeting & Forecasting: Own the budgeting andforecasting processes, aligning financial plans with strategic businessobjectives and market realities. Internal Controls: Design, implement, and continuouslyenhance financial controls and risk management frameworks across alloperational geographies. Audit & Compliance: Manage relationships withexternal auditors and oversee smooth execution of annual audits. Ensurecompliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Tax & Transfer Pricing: Oversee global tax filingsand reporting, while establishing and maintaining compliant and effectivetransfer pricing policies across entities. AI & Automation Initiatives: Champion the adoptionof AI-driven tools and process automation within the finance function toincrease accuracy and efficiency. ERP Ownership: Leverage Zoho Books and related toolsto streamline financial processes; lead continuous system optimization efforts. Cross-border Coordination: Collaborate with multipleexternal accounting agencies across the UK, UAE, USA, and other markets toensure cohesive financial operations. Leadership & Team Development: Manage and mentor ateam of finance professionals. Foster a high-performance, accountable cultureand support team development. Requirements Professional degree \u2013 CA or ICAEW or similar ismandatory At least 12+ years of progressive accounting andprevious supervisory experience preferably Hands-onexperience managing books for multi-entity operations in geographies such asthe UK, UAE, or USA is hugely desirable Experiencein fast-growing startup/scale-up, with a bias for action and problem-solving.
