Job Title: Assistant HR Manager Company: GSA Surgical & Medicines Pvt. Ltd. Location: Kolkata, West Bengal Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: GSA Surgical & Medicines Pvt. Ltd., a leading pharmacy chain in West Bengal, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant HR Manager to support our growing workforce across 30+ branches. The ideal candidate will assist in all HR functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, payroll, compliance, and training, ensuring smooth HR operations and fostering a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in the end-to-end hiring process, from job posting to onboarding. Source, screen, and interview candidates for various roles. Conduct employee orientation and induction programs. Maintain and update employee records in the HR database. 2. Employee Relations & Engagement: Address employee concerns and grievances, ensuring a healthy work environment. Organize employee engagement activities to boost morale and productivity. Assist in conducting performance reviews and appraisals. Promote company policies, ethics, and work culture. 3. Payroll & Attendance Management: Ensure accurate payroll processing, attendance tracking, and leave management. Maintain records of employee benefits, insurance, and other HR documentation. 4. Compliance & Legal: Ensure HR policies align with labor laws and company regulations. Handle documentation for PF, ESI, gratuity, and other statutory compliances. Maintain confidentiality of employee data and HR processes. 5. Training & Development: Identify employee training needs and coordinate training programs. Assist in career development and succession planning initiatives. 6. HR Reporting & Analytics: Generate HR reports related to attrition, employee performance, and payroll. Monitor key HR metrics and suggest improvements to HR policies. Requirements: Bachelors/Master’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in HR roles, preferably in retail or healthcare sectors. Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in HR software, payroll systems, and MS Office.
