Job Description

Responsibilities: Tax Compliance:- Ensure timely and accurate compliance for filing of various Direct and Indirect Tax returns like VAT, TDS and Income Tax. Monitor changes in Direct and Indirect laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance. Conduct periodic audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies or non- compliance issues. Conduct periodic reconciliations to identify and rectify potential loss of input tax credit. Tax Planning and Optimization: Analyse business transactions to identify opportunities for tax savings and optimization. Collaborate with internal teams to structure transactions in a tax-efficient manner while ensuring compliance with various Direct and Indirect Tax laws. Assist in the implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize refunds. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records, including invoices, returns, and other relevant documents. Develop and implement efficient systems for documentation and record-keeping to facilitate audits and compliance. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare comprehensive reports and analyses for management review. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making. Liaison with Tax Authorities: Serve as the primary point of contact for accounting and taxation related inquiries and communication with tax authorities. Represent the company in various audits, assessments, and other interactions with tax authorities. Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for internal stakeholders to enhance understanding of various regulations and compliance requirements. Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations and disseminate relevant information to the finance team and other departments as necessary. Requirements: Candidate having knowledge of liquor industry and having knowledge of export and import would be preferred . Proven experience in Income Tax, GST, Customs CST & VAT compliance and taxation, preferably in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of Direct and Indirect laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and analyze transaction data. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management and record-keeping. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and communicate with external stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
