Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: Design Management : Responsible for the complete design and development of modular office furniture , from concept to execution. Prepare and validate 2D/3D layout plans , modular system designs, and production drawings using AutoCAD and other design software. Create ergonomic and space-optimized layouts tailored to client requirements. Technical Documentation : Prepare accurate and detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) based on approved design. Develop Material Requirement Planning (MRP) documents for procurement and production planning. Generate wood cutting lists for optimized material usage in production. Co-ordination & Communication : Liaise effectively with clients, project teams, production units, procurement , and vendors to ensure design requirements are clearly communicated and executed. Coordinate with the production team to ensure adherence to design standards and timelines. Participate in regular project meetings and site visits when necessary. Software Proficiency : Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD , MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) , and other relevant design/planning tools. Proficient in using Excel for data management, costing, and tracking of design deliverables. Quality & Compliance : Ensure all designs comply with company standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Conduct design reviews and make revisions as required to maintain functionality and aesthetics. Process Improvement : Contribute to the continuous improvement of the design process by suggesting enhancements in workflow, templates, or design practices. Keep abreast of industry trends in modular furniture and integrate innovative solutions into designs. Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile
