Job Title: Employee Relations Assistant Manager Department : Human Resources Location : Gurgaon Reports To : Employee Relations Assistant Manager / HRBP Lead Role Summary The Assistant Manager – Employee Relations will be responsible for managing employee engagement, grievance handling, policy implementation, and compliance within the BPO environment. The role demands a strong understanding of labor laws, proactive conflict resolution, and the ability to drive a positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Employee Engagement & Retention Drive employee engagement initiatives aligned with business needs Analyze attrition trends and recommend retention strategies Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews Weekly and monthly R&R’s along with engagement activities RYG analysis and interviews to retain and forecast attrition Abscond calling / attrition calling management to win back employees ESAT Surveys and strategy to improve the overall employee experience Onboarding and Induction Grievance Handling & Conflict Resolution Address employee grievances and escalate complex cases as needed Conduct impartial investigations in cases of misconduct, harassment, etc. Mediate conflicts between employees or between employee and management Compliance & Policy Enforcement Ensure adherence to company policies and labor regulations Support audits, POSH compliance, and internal HR governance checks Maintain and update HR documentation and records Stakeholder Management Act as a point of contact between HR and operations for ER matters Partner with TLs/Managers to educate and support people management Conduct periodic pulse checks and feedback sessions Reporting & Analytics Track and report on ER metrics – grievances, warnings, attrition, etc. Recommend preventive action based on trend analysis Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of labor laws and employee rights Empathy, discretion, and objectivity Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills Data-driven approach to problem-solving Ability to manage sensitive issues with maturity Qualifications Graduate or Postgraduate in HR, Labor Law, or related fields 4–6 years of experience in ER or HRBP roles in a BPO or similar setup Working knowledge of HRMS systems preferred Work Conditions Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required Comfortable with high-paced, employee-intensive environments 6 days working environment Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Perks and benefits
