Job Title: Assistant Manager Application Engineering (M8) Department: Application Engineering Business Unit: ISBU Reporting To: Application Engineering Head Location: [Tirupati] Experience: 6-10yrs Role Purpose: Act as the key interface with customers while supporting marketing, new developments, and application studies related to batteries. The role involves technical preparation for tenders, customer queries, and compliance, with a focus on Li-Ion battery applications. Key Responsibilities: Conduct application studies and prepare technical documentation for new opportunities related to Li-Ion batteries. Prepare technical packages for tenders, customer queries, and regulatory compliance. Research and analyze new application areas, assessing suitability for Li-Ion batteries and other energy storage solutions. Provide technical expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), data center UPS applications, and Li-Ion battery technologies. Demonstrate knowledge or experience in EMS, SCADA, and safety systems (fire suppression, HVAC, FSS, sensors, and alarms). Collaborate with New Product Development and Marketing teams to develop solutions for emerging applications. Prepare and update manuals, catalogs, charts, and competitor benchmarking analyses. Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Service, QA, Product Process Engineering, Production, and Purchase. Engage with external stakeholders, including customers, end-users, third-party testing agencies, vendors, and analysis labs. Train field teams and stakeholders on product troubleshooting and best practices. Unique Accountabilities: In-depth knowledge of battery technologies, including Li-Ion, flow batteries, and VRLA, along with relevant standards (IEC, IS, UL, IEEE). Conduct research on new battery application areas and assess feasibility. Work with cross-functional teams (CFT) to develop solutions and ensure smooth implementation. Preferred Candidate Profile: Education Experience: Minimum Qualification: B.Tech (Electrical Electronics Engineering EEE) or B.Tech (Electronics Communication Engineering ECE) Desirable Qualification: M.Tech Experience Range: 6 10 years Industry Experience: Hands-on expertise in Li-Ion batteries, including pack assembly, BMS, service, customer support, and application studies. Technical Functional Skills: Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Data Center UPS applications Exposure to EMS, SCADA, and renewable energy solutions (e.g., Solar) Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other related software tools Soft Skills Competencies: Strong communication and presentation skills Analytical and problem-solving abilities Team player with leadership and negotiation skills Ability to inspire and motivate teams Decision-making and innovation-driven mindset Other Requirements: Language Proficiency: English, Hindi, Telugu Age Range: 26 35 years
