Job Description

Role overview: The Accountant Finance & Accounting will be supporting the Finance and Accounting function by managing daily accounting responsibilities and tasks. The ideal candidate should be well-versed with accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers with high attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the Finance & Accounting function. What will you do: Accounting: Facilitate bookkeeping Update accounting systems to record accounting transactions on Netsuite Prepare bank, foreign currency, and petty cash reconciliations Create periodic reports, such as AR Report, AP Report, Cash flow Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations such as AR, AP, Prepaid expenses. Assist Accounts Manager in management of monthly accounts Taxation: Compute taxes and prepare tax returns Prepare quarterly/monthly TDS return workings File Monthly GST returns to ensure regulatory compliance Assist in preparation of Annual GST workings to ensure regulatory compliance Audit & Compliance: Assist in preparation of year-end accounts Support Annual audits such as Statutory, Tax and TP Audit and provide information to external auditors as required Prepare workings for APR filing Compute CSR as applicable and highlight any shortfall/ excess in consumption Prepare documentation for Outward foreign remittances Ideally, you should have: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Commerce. 1-2 years Experience in general accounting role Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Relevant statutory provisions along with filing exposure. Proficiency in NetSuite Proficiency with Email and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Ability to meet assigned deadlines Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
