Associate CAD Application Engineer About the Role The engineer is tasked with developing harness designs through the use of CAD software, ensuring compliance with project specifications and manufacturability to satisfy customer requirements. Primary responsibilities encompass reviewing components, resolving technical challenges, interpreting harness schematics, and overseeing the Bill of Materials (BoMs). Proficiency in CAD applications and assembly techniques is crucial, in addition to possessing robust problem-solving and teamwork abilities. Roles and Responsibilities: Hands-on experience with CAD tools, including UG/NX, AutoCAD, and working within a Teamcenter environment. Knowledge of automotive connector and cables. Knowledge on manufacturing process like molding, stamping, plating & Assembly processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during design and production stages. Basic understanding of electrical testing and wiring diagrams. Experience in handling Bill of Materials (BoM) and Engineering Change Notifications (ECN). Prepare reports, presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Skills Required: Handson experience in using SAP and Teamcenter. Pro-efficient in UG NX is a must. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (CAD design Preferred) or equivalent. Work experience in connector industry / automotive domain is an added advantage. Flexible to work with cross-functional teams and global assignments. Good communication skills - Both verbal and writing Good interpersonal skills that demonstrate ability to build rapport with internal teams and external contacts. Aptitude to learn products and applications through self-efforts. Collaborating with Cross Functional Team. Will be working with product development team. B.Tech - Mechanical Certification in CAD is preferred.
