Associate Frontend Software Engineer

Job Description

You will be a core member of our Bangalore based R&D hub, working with Software Engineers and Product Managers in both Bangalore and Europe. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager in Bangalore. Associate Software Engineers at OutThink contribute to building highly visual graphical online experiences that must look stunning and operate smoothly to produce a seamless and polished experience for our users. You will need to work hard, think on your feet and learn fast from your more experienced colleagues. You will be exposed to some of the latest Web, SaaS and Artificial Intelligence technologies. What youll do Build cutting-edge on-line learning experiences used by millions of users, using a combination of web-based technologies and internal tooling. Support our Content Team by helping to assemble and test digital assets and AI generated content. Support Software Engineers in the development of exceptionally good looking, modern web-based SaaS products and on-line learning experiences. Collaborate with your team and learn to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment. Craft your code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Your background First and foremost, a great attitude. You have a strong educational foundation and can demonstrate a track record of exceptional performance - whether that be academics, sport, professional, or another domain of interest. Experience with developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions. Experience working with version control systems, such as GitHub. Hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks, particularly React, and familiarity with the latest ECMA versions. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. A positive and proactive attitude with strong initiative, team-working skills, and the ability to learn quickly. Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate in English in all forms. Ability to learn new processes and concepts fast with a demonstrated sense of curiosity. Intrinsic drive and motivation to build a world first and share our start-up vision. Desirable additional skills: Knowledge or understanding of accessibility standards, in particular WCAG compliance. An understanding of globalization, including developing code for audiences in a wide variety of languages and cultures. Any experience with a startup, working with a SaaS Product, developing games, or working with eLearning solutions would be an advantage.
