Job Overview JOB DESCRIPTION The role is for the head of HR & Admin for Peptides Manufacturing unit and R&D. Primary objective of the role is to elevate operational efficiency and foster a productive, positive work environment at the manufacturing site. This role focuses on strategic HR initiatives, including manpower planning, performance evaluations, talent review and succession planning, alongside managing administrative duties that support seamless operations and enhance the site’s continuous improvement culture. Through these efforts, the Head HR will contribute to a transparent and engaged workplace that aligns with business goals and regulatory standards. Key Stakeholders: Internal Site Leadership Team, union representatives, employees & corporate functions. Key Stakeholders: External Labor law and compliance authorities, external auditors, recruitment agencies, vendors and services providers. Reporting Structure Matrix reporting- Administratively to Site head and functionally to AVP - HR Experience Minimum of 12+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing set up. Proven track record in managing comprehensive HR functions, including manpower planning, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives. Experience in handling labor relations and union negotiations, demonstrating strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Background in managing administrative functions, including audit preparation, vendor management Skills And Competencies Strong communication skills. Relationship building with stakeholders. High levels of ownership and accountability. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. In-depth knowledge of labor laws and compliance regulations. Change management capabilities. Conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Knowledge of HR metrics and data analysis. Proficiency in HR software and information systems Key Roles / Responsibilities To Head HR Department in the manufacturing unit and to look after manpower planning, Recruitment Selection, Human Resources Development, Wages & Salary Administration, Discipline, Compliance with Labor Laws & Regulations, Performance Appraisal, Formulation of Rules & Procedures, Career Progression, Medical, Employee Welfare. To play an active role in the change process by offering HR Interventions to help ensure a successful integration. To ensure timely development of manpower and address their development needs. To ensure development needs of the workforce are addressed in line with the individual as well as business requirements. To ensure goal setting process and assessment of KRA’s of workforce, thereby ensuring a fair and transparent assessment mechanism. To conduct various employee engagement initiative/interventions leading to engaged workforce and better retention. To maintain harmonious relationship with union representatives. To initiate discussion and finalize long term agreement with union. To conduct talent review process and implement plans for leadership development. To finalize succession planning for all critical roles and drive actions for development of successors. To foster an open and transparent work culture thereby creating a motivated workforce. To monitor departmental budget periodically and take necessary corrective actions to ensure they are in line with opex. To establish & implement strong review mechanism & controls for ensuring zero non compliances in HR process & policy audits including GMP. Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity and performance. Assist in preparing and managing the administrative budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost-effective operations. Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality services and maintain strong relationships that support site operations.
