Department: Information Technology Location: APAC-India-IT Delivery Center Hyderabad Description Role summary Align is currently seeking a Software Engineer, ServiceNow to join our DWE organization This position will vary in the scope of project responsibilities; however generally this position will focus on designing and delivering technical solutions that are developed on the ServiceNow platform with respect to integrating and maintaining the user interface of our ESC Portal and user experience on the ServiceNow platform, Role expectations Role expectations Develop and implement integrations between ServiceNow and various third-party platforms, applications, and systems, using OOB plugins, API methods, and other modern integration techniques, Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces for HR Service Delivery and other web applications on the ServiceNow platform using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap, and other web technologies, Develop custom APIs, connectors, and workflows to enable bi-directional data exchange and system interoperability, Develop and maintain solutions using standard platform functionality, including but not limited to Business rules, Client scripts, UI policies, Data policies, ACLs, UI actions, Script includes, Transform maps, Workflows etc Server-side scripts utilizing the most efficient Glide Record methods to reduce overall processing time, Enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc ) Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform to support integration requirements, including configuring REST/SOAP web services, scripting, and creating ServiceNow business rules and UI actions, Code, debug, document, deploy, and maintain solutions in a highly efficient and effective manner, Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, developers, analysts, process owners, and managers to develop and implement best-of-breed complementary solutions interfacing ServiceNow, Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, perform system testing and ensure the stability and reliability of integrated solutions, Document implementation procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance, Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging integration technologies, and best practices, and provide guidance on integrating new platforms and systems, What We're Looking For What were looking for Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience, 5-7 years of experience as a Software Developer, with a focus on developing and operating the ServiceNow platform and integrating third-party platforms, Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including UI policies, client scripts, business rules, workflows, and integrations, Experience in developing web applications on the ServiceNow platform using ESC Pro Portal, UI Pages, UI Scripts, UI Macros, and other ServiceNow components, Experience in integrating ServiceNow with other external systems, such as SaaS, IaaS, legacy systems, on-premises applications, data sources, or databases, Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and integration technologies and protocols, including REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and web services, Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and propose effective solutions, Effective communication and collaboration skills, self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work effectively and independently with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ServiceNow certifications (e-g , Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist) are highly desirable, Complementary skills Strong grasp of UX design principles including wireframing, prototyping, and responsive design techniques, Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus, Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements, Applicant Privacy Policy Review our Applicant Privacy Policyfor additional information, Global Diversity Statement At Align, we believe in the power of a smile, and we know that every smile is as unique as our employees As we grow, we are committed to building a workforce rich in diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences, fostering a culture of open-mindedness and compassion We live our company values by promoting healthy people and healthy communities, all with the intent of changing millions of lives, one unique smile at a time, Equal Opportunity Statement Align Technology is an equal opportunity employer We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities in all our practices, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, marital status, protected veteran status, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other legally protected category Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country for which they are applying, and employment eligibility will be verified as a condition of hire,
