Asst . Manager - Sea Freight

Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as Asst. Manager Sea Freight. This role requires a strong understanding of sea freight operations, coupled with the ability to develop business opportunities and manage customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end sea freight operations, sales generation, and ensuring seamless execution of logistics services. Key Responsibilities: Manage booking, documentation (B/L, SI, VGM, etc.), and shipment execution for sea freight. Coordinate with s/Lines, transporters, and port authorities for smooth cargo movement. Oversee cargo tracking, status updates, and issue resolution for delays or discrepancies. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, shipping lines, and vendors. Optimize freight costs and transit times by selecting the best service providers and routes. Identify and develop new business opportunities, prepare RFQs and freight solutions. Negotiate pricing with customers, shipping lines, and transporters. Collaborate with customs clearance finance teams for seamless operations. Maintain accurate records and reports on sales, shipments, and customer feedback. Requirements: Proven experience in sea freight operations within the freight forwarding industry Strong communication and negotiation skills. In-depth knowledge of sea freight shipping documentation, ICD operations, and customs clearance procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer accounts effectively. Education Qualification: Graduate Additional Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and software.
