Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Audit Associate with expertise in Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) audits to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in auditing 401(k) plans, pension plans, and other employee benefit plans while ensuring compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations . Key Responsibilities: Conduct audits of Employee Benefit Plans (EBP) in accordance with GAAS, ERISA, and DOL requirements . Review financial statements, disclosures, and related documentation for accuracy and compliance. Perform substantive and analytical audit procedures to identify discrepancies or non-compliance issues. Collaborate with team members and clients to gather necessary documentation and resolve audit findings. Ensure proper documentation of audit work papers in compliance with firm policies and professional standards. Assist in preparing audit reports, findings, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated with the latest regulations, industry trends, and compliance requirements related to EBP audits. Work closely with senior auditors and managers to execute audit engagements efficiently. Qualifications & Skills: CA Inter / CPA / ACCA / MBA (Finance) / Semi-qualified CA / B.Com / M.Com with relevant experience in auditing. 13 years of experience in external audit, with a focus on EBP audits . Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, ERISA, and DOL regulations . Experience working with 401(k), pension plans, and other benefit plan audits is preferred. Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Excel . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm handling EBP audits. Knowledge of Form 5500 filing requirements.
