Job Description

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Test Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of our applications. You will work closely with the development team to create efficient test automation scripts, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to improving the overall software development process. Key Responsibilities: Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, ensuring high-quality test coverage for the application. Proficiency in Playwright: Leverage your expertise in Playwright to implement test strategies that cover various use cases and workflows, including handling complex DOM structures and Shadow DOM elements. Test Scripting: Use JavaScript or TypeScript to write automated tests that effectively verify application functionality. CI/CD Integration: Integrate test automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps to ensure seamless testing in the development lifecycle. Cross-Browser Testing: Perform cross-browser testing to ensure compatibility across different browsers and platforms, ensuring a smooth user experience. Version Control: Utilize Git or similar version control systems for efficient collaboration and code management. Problem-Solving & Debugging: Troubleshoot and debug issues in test scripts and applications, ensuring that test failures are thoroughly analyzed and resolved. Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to continuously improve the testing process and ensure high-quality software delivery. Agile Environment: Work within an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint goals, participating in daily stand-ups, and collaborating on test strategies. Qualifications: Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Playwright and test automation, with hands-on experience writing test scripts in JavaScript or TypeScript. CI/CD Tools: Experience working with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps for integrating automated tests into the continuous integration pipeline. Cross-Browser Testing: Experience with cross-browser testing and handling complex web elements, including Shadow DOM. Version Control: Familiarity with Git or other version control systems to manage code and collaborate effectively with team members. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues in both test automation scripts and applications. Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results. Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of other test automation frameworks and tools. Familiarity with additional CI/CD tools and integrations. Experience with performance testing and load testing.
