System Design & Development: Design and develop machine vision systems for automation applications, including industrial inspection, defect detection, and process control. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate vision systems into manufacturing or production lines. Develop and implement algorithms for image processing, pattern recognition, and analysis. Installation & Integration: Install and configure vision hardware, including cameras, lighting, and vision sensors. Integrate vision systems with existing production machinery, PLCs, and robots. Ensure seamless integration of hardware and software for high-quality performance. Programming & Software Development: Write and optimize software code for vision system applications using relevant programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, MATLAB). Utilize machine vision software platforms (e.g., Halcon, OpenCV, NI Vision) to design and test vision applications. Implement AI-driven image recognition models, leveraging deep learning for advanced inspection tasks. Testing & Calibration: Conduct tests to validate the performance of vision systems in real-world environments. Calibrate cameras, lighting, and other system components to ensure accuracy and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during system deployment. Continuous Improvement & Support: Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements or adjustments. Provide ongoing support for vision systems and automation equipment. Collaborate with the production team to address any production challenges related to automation systems. Documentation & Reporting: Document system specifications, workflows, and testing procedures. Create training materials for end-users and internal teams. Prepare detailed reports on system performance, issues, and improvement recommendations. Preferred candidate profile: 2-5 years of experience working with machine vision systems or industrial automation. Experience with programming languages such as C++, Python, MATLAB, or similar. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Modbus, EtherCAT). Hands-on experience with vision software such as Halcon, OpenCV, or NI Vision. Knowledge of optical design and lighting principles. Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. Experience with robotic vision integration (e.g., robots with vision systems for automated tasks). Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and clients. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
