Join us as a Avaloq Software Engineer We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team and be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing software systems while ensuring quality and performance standards. You ll be an integral part of our plans to strengthen the Data Platforms team, as you deliver solution designs, prototypes, implementation and run the bank support for our data platforms With your passion for innovation and desire to improve technology education through data, you ll thrive in this fast-paced and ever-changing environment What youll do In this key role, you ll review exceptions causing hide structures to be discarded along with investigating and analysing system exceptions that impact the discard process for hide structures, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues. You ll also collaborate with other teams to support data migration, build scripts, and run reconciliations. Day-to-day, you ll: Provide recommendations on optimal strategies for addressing technical issues or inefficiencies, contributing to the overall system improvement Write and maintain scripts to resolve system issues, automate processes, and support system integration Design and execute reconciliations to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and synchronisation across various systems Develop and execute unit and module tests to ensure software components work as expected, identifying and fixing issues during the development cycle Implement data quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability Work closely with business analysts, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Providing technical analysis support for change requests and incidents The skills youll need To succeed in this role, you ll need deep knowledge and experience of the Avaloq Enterprise-Wide Object Model, Automated Personal Data Wiping or Management. You ll also have strong expertise in managing and executing data migration projects in Avaloq environments, ensuring successful data transfer and system integration. It s crucial that you re fluent in English, with strong communication skills and have an analytical mind-set. Additionally, you ll need: ACCP with Major in Core Technologies, PL/SQL, and Avaloq Script knowledge, enabling efficient programming, debugging, and query management Solid experience with Application Express for building scalable and secure web applications Familiarity with banking industry data and regulatory requirements Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
