Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. Lead migration projects from on-premises or VMware Horizon to AVD. Develop AVD architecture, including host pools, scaling strategies, and security configurations. Configure and manage FSLogix for user profile management and application layering. Evaluate and implement persistent vs. non-persistent AVD solutions, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency. Design and implement secure authentication mechanisms for AVD, including Azure AD, MFA, and conditional access policies. Manage Azure Entra ID configurations, including identity governance, role-based access control (RBAC), and integration with on-premises Active Directory. Work with Zscaler or other endpoint security solutions to enhance security posture. Monitor and troubleshoot AVD performance issues and optimize resource utilization. Ensure compliance with security best practices and Azure governance policies. Provide technical guidance and documentation for AVD deployments. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) architecture and engineering. Hands-on experience in migrating workloads to AVD, preferably from VMware Horizon. Strong knowledge of FSLogix for profile management and application optimization. Expertise in persistent vs. non-persistent AVD environments and their use cases. Experience in designing secure authentication mechanisms for AVD. Familiarity with Zscaler or other endpoint security solutions for endpoint protection. Expertise in Azure Active Directory (AAD), Intune, and Group Policy management. Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-140: Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop). Knowledge of application packaging and deployment in AVD environments. Show more Show less
