About the job Azure VMware Solution Specialist Adfolks is seeking Azure VMware Solution (AVS) Specialist who can join immediately to work in a high visibility, technically interesting project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VMware technologies and Azure cloud services, with expertise in planning, deploying, and managing hybrid cloud environments. You will play a key role in delivering solutions that enable seamless integration of on-premises VMware environments with Azure. Location: Kochi/Remote Experience : 4+ Years Required Skills and Experience: Azure VMware Solution Expertise: Design, implement, and manage Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments to support business workloads. Configure and optimize hybrid cloud setups using AVS to ensure high performance and cost efficiency. Architecture and Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess existing VMware infrastructure and develop migration strategies to Azure. Design scalable and resilient AVS architectures tailored to business requirements. Operations and Maintenance: Perform day-to-day administration of AVS workloads, including monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with Azure best practices, governance policies, and security standards. Migration and Integration: Plan and execute the migration of VMware-based workloads to Azure using AVS. Seamlessly integrate on-premises environments with Azure services like Azure Monitor, Security Center, and Azure Storage. Technical Support and Documentation: Provide Level 2/3 technical support for AVS environments, resolving complex issues. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and runbooks. Collaboration and Training: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, network engineers, and DevOps teams. Train internal teams on AVS capabilities and best practices. Required Skills and Experience: Technical Expertise: 4+ years of experience with VMware technologies such as vSphere, vCenter, NSX-T, and vSAN. Hands-on experience with Azure services and Azure VMware Solution. Knowledge of network and security concepts, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, firewalls, and load balancers. Cloud and Virtualization Skills: Proficiency in migrating VMware workloads to Azure. Experience in setting up and managing hybrid cloud environments. Familiarity with tools like HCX (VMware Hybrid Cloud Extension). Automation and Scripting: Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, or Azure CLI. Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
