Backend Developer /Node.js

About the Role Were looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer with a strong background in Node.js and Express to join our growing team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable server-side applications that power our core products. You'll work closely with frontend engineers and DevOps to create secure, efficient, and reliable APIs and backend systems. Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and Express . Build secure and scalable APIs, integrating validation, authentication, and rate-limiting. Manage data with MongoDB , Mongoose , and Prisma ORM , optimizing queries and performance. Implement authentication systems using JWT and bcryptjs . Experience with Redis for caching and real-time applications. Ensure API security, scalability, and performance optimization. Handle file uploads securely using multer and AWS SDKs. Generate reports and documents with tools like pdfkit , puppeteer , and marked . Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and continuously improve backend best practices. Experience in integrating and testing 3rd party API’s. Monitor application performance and stability with New Relic and Winston logging. Nice to Have Familiarity with server-side rendering and document generation (PDFs, Markdown). Experience working in a microservices architecture. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Integrate third-party services including AWS S3 for file storage, Stripe for payments, Twilio for messaging, and Nodemailer for emails.
