The Process Order Management Expert will be a key driver in advancing process order (PO) management practices across all manufacturing plants globally. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to same-day PO closure, monitoring and steering change adoption and driving continuous improvement in Manufacturing Usage Variance (MUV). As part of the Manufacturing Performance Team, the role will collaborate with Power Users in the manufacturing plants, ensure accountability, enhance process discipline and promote a culture of operational excellence. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES SCOPE Monitor and steer change adoption Track global progress on the implementation of same-day process order (PO) closure across manufacturing sites. Ensure local accountability for meeting same-day PO closure targets. Analyze trends in MUV data to identify improvement opportunities and drive targeted actions. Support root cause resolution Review and challenge the root cause analyses provided by sites to support their change journey. Assist sites in resolving recurring issues and implementing corrective actions. Provide expert advice on SAP process order management. Develop and maintain consistent guidelines for local Power Users. Facilitate collaboration Foster a global network of Power Users to encourage the sharing of best practices and lessons learned. Participate in governance meetings to address issues and provide support. Act as the central point of contact for Power Users, ensuring alignment and consistency across sites. Reporting Ensure monthly progress updates are available on same-day PO closure implementation to leadership. Highlight key challenges, actionable insights, and additional support needs. Scope: Global Manufacturing ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL OR FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES University Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field. Minimum 10-12 years of experience, including 5-7 years in SAP process order management, manufacturing operations, or production planning Proven experience in driving process improvements and managing global change initiatives. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret MUV and other manufacturing KPIs Ability to facilitate collaboration in a global, cross-functional team environment. Knowledge of Operational Excellence principles. About The Role Represents supply chain in local plant management team and will put in place Raw material call offs Production scheduling In plant logistics and inventory management/controlling Transport planning call-off The core purpose of the role is to deliver the supply plan of the site and collaborate with site leadership to enable execution of this supply plan. Key Responsibilities Include Responsible for overall performance of the site supply chain process Responsible for a healthy and safe environment for stakeholders directly and indirectly involved in supply chain processes (and product movements) Owns the raw material and packaging replenishment process to the site Owns the production scheduling activity of the site (adherence to schedule/plan KPI) Owns the relationship with Global planning regarding production planning parameters and output reviews Translating the customer sales orders and the weekly Operational plan into daily schedule, maintains frozen period Provide visibility and communicate with clarity the detail production schedule with the respective stakeholders (materials, CS, production, maintenance, process, QA, warehouse, transport) Coordinate between functions to ensure smooth production flow and production schedule adherence Highlight/align on any impact to the Operational plan and/or upstream/downstream schedule due to execution issues Provide timely input to the national planning lead and/or upstream/downstream scheduler by coordinating within the site team as needed Optimize service and cost of service working closely with the national planning lead and site teams Owns the inventory management activity for raw material, packaging and finished product on site Owns the warehousing and transport for flows to and from the site (may vary per local/regional SC context) Owns the on-site logistics activities workforce (material handling, pallet movements, reception, (un)loading) Responsible for site supply chain costs, quality and service for this scope Responsible for site supply chain productivity. Drives initiatives to achieve productivity Responsible for compliance of local supply chain process with regulations, customer requirement and group standards Develops and maintains relation with internal and external stakeholders involved in supply chain Drives initiatives to achieve quality and service improvements Cascades and monitors KPI s to deliver expected performance benefits. Main KPIs being Site OTIF, schedule adherence and inventory accuracy. About the role: Barry Callebaut s production facilities and warehouses are rapidly evolving into connected, automated, and data-driven environments. Digital platforms such as MES (or Manufacturing Execution System) and EMS (or Energy Management System) are key enablers for standardized food safety and operational excellence within Barry Callebaut and are important prerequisites to delivering data-driven innovation and I4.0. To accelerate the rollout of these digital platforms, Barry Callebaut is looking for Digital Application Engineers, with a proven experience in the implementation of MES, EMS, and other industrial IT systems. As a Digital Application Engineer, you will be responsible for taking the lead in rollout projects of digital applications from design to delivery to the end-users, i.e. Barry Callebaut factories. Tasks include writing the design specification, gathering input and validating the deliverables with all stakeholders, coordinating integrators for the automation and MES application delivery, leading the FAT testing, training end-users, and coordinating after-care support. The goal of a digital application engineer is to deliver applications that support factory workers to gain insight in the manufacturing process, with the purpose of improving productivity, reducing downtime, and reducing costs. To achieve this you will be coordinating a multifunctional project team of experts in IT, OT, MES, automation, continuous improvement, and production. You will serve as the first line contact for sites in case of technical issues, supported by an expert (external) service organization. Key responsibilities: Define system requirements, based on business needs. Translate user requirements into specifications for digital applications. Integrate digital applications with other (legacy) systems & third-party APIs. Install and commission digital applications. Conduct testing & quality assurance. Create documentation on digital applications and platforms. Design templates, standards, and tools for digital systems, platforms, and equipment. Manage suppliers. Support sites for maintenance & upgrade of existing digital assets. Provide support for factories regarding technical issues with installed digital applications. About you: You have a masters degree in engineering, preferably computer sciences; automation; electronics-ICT or a related field or equivalent by experience. Language skills: Excellent knowledge of English is mandatory. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage. You have at least 5 years of experience working in a multinational business context. You have experience in project management and an affinity with change management. You have proven experience with digital transformation and MES projects. You preferably have experience with Wonderware products (Archestra, Intouch, System Platform, Skelta Workflow, Historian). Basic knowledge of SQL and databases is required Experience in process automation is considered a plus. Experience in the manufacturing or process industry (food and beverage, pharma, chemical) is a plus. You are a results-oriented team player and you will moderate the various parties involved (customers, users, suppliers, and contractors). You are thinking in a process-oriented and analytical way.
