Job Summary The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for resolving the issues in Bharat Bill Pay on-line and off-line applications. The person will be responsible for monitoring, managing and working in 24 x 7 environment in BBPS. Responsible to work in 24 x 7 mission critical Bill Payment applications and expected to co-ordinate with Database, Infrastructure, operations team and other stakeholders, including but not limited to Banks and non-banking entities to achieve desired results in BBPS. Ensuring a near 100% application uptime is one of the key driver, by employing pro-active and re-active maintenance activities. Should be an individual contributor, should have ability to excel with the team. Should be quick learner. Technology Skills Core Java : Hands on experience on Java 8 and Java 11/17 Spring Framework: Hands on experience in Spring and Spring Boot In-memory DB: Extensive working knowledge on in-memory DB like Redis/Key DB Message system: Extensive knowledge on Kafka NoSQL database: Hands on work experience in Cassandra/Click House and MongoDB ELK: Extensive knowledge on ELK for log analysis/Data Analysis REST Service: Experience in managing Java based RESTful application services and Batch Processes Prometheus and Grafana: Ability to debug and troubleshoot the issue based on the PGA alerts Active-Active :Extensive knowledge on high availability system and Active-Active setup Deployment: Have knowledge on Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline script Production bug fix: Ability to identify the issue and provide the fix for the same Domain Knowledge: Working in Payment system Key Responsibilities Ability to identify the Production Issues Patch Deployment & Build Deployments Expertise in SQL Queries Good problem solving skills Log Monitoring and Analysis for issue prevention Expertise in Application Performance Optimization Experience in Automation Techniques 24 x 7 working experience Hands on experience on Load/Performance Testing Working experience in continuous integration using tools, build tools and automation of system testing
