Experience: 2+ years Employment Type: Full-time Work Timing: Mon-Sat, 9:30 to 6:00 Location: Mohali, Chandigarh Job Summary We are a leading biotech manufacturing company specializing in bioprocess equipment such as bioreactors, fermenters, and ultrafiltration systems. We are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to oversee installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control systems integrated into our equipment. Key Responsibilities Instrumentation & Control Systems: Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, sensors, pumps, and actuators used in biotech and pharma applications. Control Panel Design & Assembly: Assemble, wire, and test PLC and microcontroller-based control panels for bioprocess equipment, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Equipment Installation & Commissioning: Ensure proper installation, calibration, and commissioning of bioprocess equipment at client sites. Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve issues related to control systems, instrumentation failures, and process deviations to ensure minimal downtime. Client Training & Documentation: Train client personnel on safe operation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of bioreactors and associated equipment. On-Site Service & Support: Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and service visits occasionally. System Upgrades & Performance Optimization: Assist in upgrading control systems, optimizing process efficiency, and suggesting improvements to enhance equipment performance. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Diploma/ITI in Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering. Experience: 2+ years of experience in pharma/biotech, biomedical, or industrial automation industry, preferably in commissioning, service or instrumentation roles. Skills: Strong understanding of PLC programming, SCADA systems, sensors, control circuits, and industrial automation. Ability to design, assemble, and troubleshoot control panels, read electrical schematics, and interpret mechanical assembly drawings. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, explain technical details, and provide support. Key Responsibilities CAD Design and Drafting: Create precise and detailed CAD drawings for lab-scale, pilot-scale, and industrial-scale bioreactors & fermenter vessels and pipelines in addition to other biotech equipment. P&ID Diagrams: Develop and maintain Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for various biotech equipment, ensuring accurate representation of process flow, control, and instrumentation. Product Development: Collaborate with the R&D and production teams to develop new equipment designs that meet industry standards and client requirements.
