Job Summary:The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing detailed plans for the pre-shutdown phase of plant operations. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that all tasks are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning: Develop comprehensive shutdown plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and task dependencies.Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize downtime and ensure safety during the shutdown.Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, safety, and engineering, to align on shutdown requirements and schedules.Resource Management: Identify and allocate necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure all tasks are adequately supported.Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of all planning activities, including schedules, work scopes, and risk assessments.Monitoring Progress: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against the plan and adjust as necessary to stay on schedule.Communication: Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment on the shutdown process.Compliance: Ensure all planning activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Post-Planning Review: Participate in post-planning reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of the planning process and identify areas for improvement.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering with 8-12 years of experience in pre shutdown planning & scheduling activities in oil & gas, petrochemicals, etc.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.May require working in a plant environment with exposure to various industrial processes and equipment.Occasional travel may be required for site assessments or coordination with other facilities.Deployment:Each Planner shall assign in single units. Role & responsibilities 1.Experience in oil & gas processing /Refining/Petrochemical/ Chemicals/Thermal Power Plants/Mining as Surveyors or chemists2.Verify and certify weighment at weigh bridge for all CMS chemicals received3. Witness 100% QA/QC sampling4. Sealing and re-sealing certification (receipt and distribution) across the field.5. Certification of final calculated quantities for GRN preparation.6. Shall circulate daily consumption report with variance.7. Shall verify physical stock inventories on monthly basis for issuingmonthly consumption & reconciliation reports.8.
