Role & responsibilities: HR Strategy & Operations:Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the plant's operational goals.Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all HR activities.Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:Manage end-to-end recruitment for technical, managerial, and operational roles.Collaborate with department heads to assess and address workforce needs.Employee Relations & Engagement:Build and maintain positive employee relations to foster a collaborative work environment.Address grievances and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.Plan and execute employee engagement activities to enhance morale and retention.Training & Development:Identify skill gaps and oversee the design and implementation of training programs.Facilitate leadership development and succession planning initiatives.Compliance & Legal:Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and safety standards.Handle disciplinary actions and investigations, adhering to legal and ethical standards.Performance Management:Oversee performance appraisal processes and ensure alignment with business objectives.Guide managers on performance improvement plans and career development discussions.Compensation & Benefits:Manage payroll, benefits administration, and other compensation-related activities.Conduct periodic market analysis to maintain competitive pay structures.HR Metrics & Reporting:Monitor HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, absenteeism, productivity) to provide actionable insights.Prepare and present HR reports to senior management.Preferred candidate profile Experience in unionized environment
