Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making. Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations. Use SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple data sources into Power BI. Write and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and improve report performance. Build and manage data models in Power BI, ensuring alignment with business requirements and data consistency. Provide ongoing support for existing Power BI reports, making updates as required by stakeholders. Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to Power BI reports and SQL queries. Ensure that Power BI reports adhere to data governance and security best practices. Assist end-users with training and troubleshooting Power BI reports and dashboards. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a strong portfolio of developed reports and dashboards. Proficient in SQL, with experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and data transformations. Strong understanding of data modelling and design principles in Power BI. Experience using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for data transformation and reporting. Ability to work with large datasets and ensure that reports and dashboards remain efficient and responsive. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address data-related challenges. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Power BI Service for report sharing and collaboration. Knowledge of data visualization best practices to create clear and insightful reports. Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
