Job OverviewThe Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving growth and expanding our business footprint across the South region. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Clients, identifying new business opportunities, and executing strategies to meet sales targets. This is a leadership role requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a deep understanding of the EdTech industry, and a track record of successful business development in the education sector. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sales & Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities, focusing on selling our EdTech products and solutions to our clients.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in schools, school networks, and educational authorities.Market Research & Trend Analysis: Understand market trends, competitors, and customer needs to tailor strategies that meet the demands of the education sector.Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed sales targets for the region, ensuring a strong pipeline and closing deals in a timely manner.Regional Leadership: Lead and manage a team, providing direction, training, and support to achieve collective goals.Partnerships & Alliances: Establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including educational bodies, school associations, and other industry players.Product Presentation & Demonstrations: Deliver impactful presentations and product demonstrations to our clients, showcasing the value proposition and benefits of our EdTech solutions.Marketing & Outreach: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop regional campaigns, events, and outreach programs.Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular updates, forecasts, and sales reports to senior management, tracking performance and market insights for the region.Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all business activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards, maintaining accurate records of sales, proposals, and agreements. Key Requirements 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the EdTech industry.Proven experience in working with schools and educational institutions, selling products or services related to education technology or other educational products.Extensive experience working in the South region and an understanding of the local education landscape and market trends.Strong understanding of the EdTech industry, its challenges, and opportunities for growth.Demonstrated success in building relationships with key stakeholders in the education sector, including school management, principals, and educational authorities.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively pitch to C-level executives and school decision-makers.Strong negotiation and closing skills.Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a focus on achieving sales targets.
