The Business Head Retail Apparel will be responsible for overseeing and managing all retail operations, driving growth, and ensuring the overall profitability of the apparel retail business. This role will involve strategic leadership, managing multi-channel retail operations, product assortment, customer experience, and brand positioning to achieve the companys objectives. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term strategies to grow the apparel retail business and achieve financial and operational objectives. Identify and capitalize on market trends, consumer behavior insights, and new retail opportunities to strengthen the brand's presence in the market. Establish clear business goals and KPIs across retail sales, product performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability. P&L Management: Manage the overall P&L for the retail apparel division, ensuring that budgetary goals, profitability targets, and revenue growth are achieved. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and take corrective actions where necessary to meet revenue, margin, and cost targets. Retail Operations: Oversee and streamline day-to-day retail operations, ensuring efficient store management, product availability, and store performance. Drive operational excellence across all stores, ensuring a consistent and superior customer experience in every location. Manage retail merchandising and inventory strategies, ensuring the right product mix and stock levels in stores. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of retail managers, store staff, and merchandising personnel. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity within the retail team. Identify training and development opportunities for team members to enhance performance and career growth. Customer Experience and Brand Strategy: Oversee customer experience initiatives to ensure alignment with brand values and deliver exceptional service across all retail touchpoints. Drive initiatives to increase foot traffic, brand loyalty, and sales conversion in stores. Work closely with marketing and visual merchandising teams to develop and execute in-store promotional strategies and seasonal campaigns. Market Expansion and New Business Development: Identify and explore new retail expansion opportunities (new markets, online, omnichannel initiatives, etc.) to increase the brand's footprint. Develop strategies to expand the product offering and increase revenue streams. Lead negotiations for partnerships, franchise opportunities, and new store locations. Collaboration with Key Stakeholders: Sales and Performance Analysis: Use data-driven insights and analytics to continuously assess the effectiveness of retail strategies and make adjustments as needed. Track key metrics such as sales performance, inventory turnover, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency to gauge business performance. Regularly report to the executive team on business performance and provide recommendations for growth. Skills & Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Fashion, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred. Experience: 12+ years of experience in retail, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the apparel or fashion industry. Strong track record of driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and brand development in retail environments. Experience managing large teams and overseeing multi-location retail operations.
