Mandatory Skills - BPM (Business Process Management) Client : HCL Appian is the BPM product, it a COTS/SaaS product. Workflows, case management, processes, SAIL. Good to have – AWS. · Mandatory Certification -Appian Level 2 at least. · Location – Bangalore. · Salary – Up to 45 · TEX- 10y to 12y · REX - 8y in BPM · REX- 5y in Appian JD – Sr. Engineer – Appian (Cloud, AWS) Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and implement Appian-based BPM solutions on AWS public cloud (version 22+) to optimize business processes. • Ensure seamless integration of Appian with external systems such as ServiceNow and other third-party sources, adhering to integration best practices. • Manage full-stack development within Appian, including frontend, backend, and data modeling, ensuring efficient and secure data handling within the Appian ecosystem. • Leverage Appian's built-in AI features to enhance automation, decision-making, and process efficiencies. • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions that align with organizational goals. • Apply performance tuning techniques to ensure optimal performance of Appian applications within the AWS environment. • Maintain comprehensive documentation for the developed solutions, ensuring clarity and completeness. • Perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and provide guidance on best practices, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Key Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years focusing on Appian BPM solutions. • Deep understanding of Appian architecture, data modeling, SAIL, process models, and integration with external systems. • Strong knowledge of AWS, including the deployment of Appian applications in the cloud and performance optimization. • Experience with ServiceNow integration and other third-party systems. • Expertise in performance tuning, cloud-native best practices, and scalable solutions within Appian on AWS. • Familiarity with Appian AI capabilities and how they can be integrated into workflows and decision management. • Proficient in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs (REST, SOAP). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimizing processes and workflows. • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum development environments. Preferred: • Appian Level 2 or Level 3 Certification. • Experience with Appian AI capabilities and machine learning integrations. • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for Appian deployment. • Understanding of AWS services and cloud-based performance optimization specific to Appian deployments.
