The Article Trainee program is a mandatory training period for individuals pursuing the CA qualification. During this time, you will work under the guidance of experienced Chartered Accountants and gain practical experience in various areas of accounting, auditing, and taxation. Here is a general job description for a CA Article Trainee : Accounting and Financial Statements : You will assist in preparing financial statements, maintaining accounting records, and analyzing financial data. This includes tasks such as bookkeeping, journal entries, ledger maintenance, and reconciliation of accounts. Auditing : You will participate in the audit process, which involves examining financial records, verifying transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This may include performing audit procedures, conducting inventory checks, and evaluating internal controls. Taxation : You will assist in preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. This may involve calculating tax liabilities, assisting in tax planning, and responding to tax-related queries. Financial Analysis : You may be involved in analyzing financial statements, assessing financial performance, and identifying areas for improvement. This may include ratio analysis, trend analysis, and financial forecasting.
