CAM Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAM Programmer to join our mobile jig manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting engineering drawings and designs into CNC programs to ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality production of jigs used in mobile device assembly and repair. Key Responsibilities:Create CAM programs for CNC machines (e.g., VMC, milling, wirecut, EDM) using software such as NX software, Mastercam,or Delcam. Interpret 2D and 3D CAD models to generate tool paths for jig components. Optimize machining operations for precision, efficiency, and minimum material waste. Select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and cutting paths for different materials (aluminum, acrylic, Delrin, etc.). Work closely with the design and tool room team to resolve issues and ensure feasibility of manufacturing. Modify or update existing programs based on changes in design or feedback from the production floor. Maintain documentation for all CAM programs, tooling, and machine setup sheets. Conduct dry runs or simulations to ensure programs are error-free before full production. Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. Required Skills & Qualifications:Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in CAM programming, preferably in jig/fixture manufacturing. Proficient in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.). Knowledge of GD&T, CNC machining processes, and tool selection. Understanding of mobile phone jig applications (e.g., alignment jigs, testing fixtures, glue jigs). Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work under deadlines. Preferred Skills:Experience with mobile industry jigs or electronic component fixturing. Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and CNC troubleshooting.
