We are looking for a highly motivated skilled expert to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot integrated library systems, including KOHA, DSpace, MyLoft, Discovery tools, etc. This role requires hands-on experience with library automation systems processes, ERM (Electronic Resources Management), remote access, library portal and social media. The candidate will be a part of the professional team in building a best-in-class academic library knowledge centre. Roles Responsibilities Independently handle and manage integrated library systems including KOHA, DSpace . Provide troubleshooting and technical support for library systems, ensuring minimal disruption to library operations. Oversee the Electronic Resources Management (ERM), ensuring proper management of digital resources and licenses. Administer remote access (MyLoft) to the library resources, ensuring secured and continuous access for all users. Manage and add value to library portal , ensuring it is user-friendly, functional, and up to date with the latest content trends. Install, configure, and maintain discovery tools , LibGuides , and similar library applications to improve user experience and resource discoverability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to proxy servers , database management systems (DBMS) , networking , and web updating . Train other library staff on the above-mentioned systems and practices. Qualifications Skills Required Master s degree in library and information science (MLISc) or Master of Science (MS-LIS) (regular full-time courses only). Additional qualifications such as PGDCA , PGDLAN , or PGDLIM are equivalent program are highly desirable. Alternatively, B. Tech or BCA/ MCA candidates with a strong inclination towards library and information services will also be considered. Practical knowledge in installation, configuration, and maintenance of library management systems and related technologies. Expertise in DSpace, discovery tools, LibGuides, and similar applications. Proficient in electronic resources management and handling the complexities of digital resources. Strong technical skills in DBMS , proxy servers , networking , and web design . Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. Ability to work independently as well as a team member. Experience 3-5 years of relevant experience in library systems management and technical support. Hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of KOHA, DSpace, discovery tools, Library portal and LibGuides.
