Process Design and Optimization: Chemical engineers design and optimize chemical processes, equipment, and facilities to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and ensure product quality. Research and Development: They conduct research to develop new materials, processes, and technologies, often working on novel solutions to challenges in various industries. Safety and Environmental Compliance: Chemical engineers are responsible for establishing and maintaining safe working conditions, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and developing procedures for handling hazardous materials. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: They identify and address issues in existing processes, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Collaboration and Communication: Chemical engineers work with other engineers, technicians, and scientists, communicating technical information and collaborating on projects.
