1. Role Objective The Chemist at the Feed Mill will be responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials, intermediate, and finished feed products. This includes monitoring and controlling all activities that impact feed quality, conducting regular inspections, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and assisting in process improvements. The Chemist will also be involved in ensuring the implementation of quality management systems and maintaining accurate records related to feed quality assurance. 2. Responsibilities Quality Assurance · Perform tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards. · Analyze data and results to identify areas of improvement and growth in feed quality. · Investigate and set quality and safety standards for raw materials and finished feed products. · Collaborate with the production team to resolve quality-related issues and ensure proper adjustments in manufacturing processes. · Monitor lab activities and ensure all necessary resources (chemicals, equipment, PPE) are available for testing. Feed Quality Control: · Ensure that all raw materials meet the required quality specifications and standards. · Perform routine quality checks on ingredients and final feed batches to ensure conformity with quality norms. · Record and analyze statistical data to track feed quality trends. · Ensure that raw materials are stored and used according to FIFO principles to maintain quality.Appreciate staff and worker of feed mill. SAP and Reporting · Maintain accurate records in SAP for all quality checks and raw material inspections. · Generate reports for internal use and MIS, summarizing quality data and performance. · Communicate any discrepancies or issues regarding feed quality to the concerned departments. Process Improvement and Training · Assist in the continuous improvement of feed manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with industry standards. · Provide training to technicians and staff on quality assurance processes and practices. · Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on audit findings or quality issues. Compliance and Auditing · Ensure adherence to regulatory and company-specific standards, including feed safety and quality guidelines (ISO, FSSC 22K, etc.). · Participate in internal audits and external audits to ensure the feed mill operates according to quality standards. · Assist in the identification of hazards in the feed manufacturing process and take appropriate corrective actions. 3. Qualification & Experience Educational Qualifications: (Additional Certification Required if any) · B.Sc., B. Tech, M.Sc., or similar degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. Relevant Experience: · 3-5 years of experience in the feed mill, animal nutrition, or related industries.
